“Yes. Chronologically. Not mentally. That’s why I need to find her.”
Holt nodded. He wondered if Ivy’s Heather had been turned yet. “So what do you know about Bloody Hell?” He settled back against the headboard and drew her close, putting his arm around her shoulder. She snuggled in and immediately began tracing circles around his navel with a petite fingertip.
“All I know is that there were two women in Chicago. Sanguine. Recruiting. The word on the street is there are four women on the boat and they’re going from port to port, spreading the word about their lifestyle.”
Four, Holt thought. At least now he had an idea of how many vampires they were going to have to deal with. “They have no men with them?”
“A captain. Name’s Ramsey.” She looked up at him, frowning. “Seems to me that you should know all of this, since you know where the boat is and that’s where you’re headed.”
Backpedal, backpedal, he thought. “Yeah. I was just wondering if they’d gained any new members for the crew.”
Ivy’s eyes narrowed but she didn’t ask him anything else. Holt squeezed her shoulder. “Let’s get some sleep.”
Ivy scooted down in the bed with him, curling up at his side. “Goodnight, Holt.”
“Goodnight, Ivy.”

“What the hell?” Rogue grumbled. Someone was banging on the door. Loud enough to bust it in. “Hang on there,” he said, struggling with the blanket that was intent on tripping him.
Bang, bang, bang. Pounding again. Rogue cursed under his breath and threw the aggravating covers onto the floor.
“What’s going on?” Colin asked, sitting up in the other bed.
“Hell if I know, but I’m gonna kill whoever is trying to break the door down.” Rogue stomped to the door and threw it open. “You better have a good—Holt?”
Holt stood in the doorway, a dark hulking figure. “Get your gear together. We’re leaving.”
Rogue rubbed his face with his hands. “Why? It’s the middle of the night.”
“Just do it.” Holt turned and walked toward the Lincoln.
“Sheesh,” Rogue said. He slammed the door shut and walked toward the bathroom.
“Why on earth would he want to leave now?” Colin asked, rising from his bed and pulling on his pants.
Rogue snorted. “Maybe there’s trouble with the ‘wifey’. How would I know? But he meant business so let’s get it moving.”
Rogue entered the bathroom, relieved himself and started back into the room. Something wasn’t right. Holt wouldn’t want them to leave in the middle of the night unless something had gone wrong. He hoped it was the girl. Anything else spelled trouble.

Heather Green sat in a chair in the corner of the main cabin of Bloody Hell and watched the scene in front of her with a heated interest.
Catharine and Elizabeth were sharing a well-built hunk of a guy that they had picked up at a dockside bar. The guy moaned. The two women had him lying on a couch that folded flat into a bed, Catharine kneeling at his hips, his dick buried to the hilt in her mouth while Elizabeth was latched onto the guy’s neck. The sound of wet sucking accompanied his groans.
Junie and Peg each had their own meal. Junie had picked up one of the guy’s friends and although not as good-looking, Junie’s pet was hung like a horse. Junie positioned him in a chair and was astride his lap, riding him like there was no tomorrow. Junie liked to fuck before she ate and from the trembling mewls coming from Junie’s throat, it sounded like she was pleased with her choice.
Peg, on the other hand, had a taste for females. Heather remembered that Peg had told her that women tasted sweeter than, not as musky as men. Peg had also said that when it came to getting off, she preferred women. It was like tampering with the forbidden. Peg was a minister’s daughter. Had been, anyway. Peg had a cute little blonde thing splayed out on the small coffee table. The blonde’s lower legs bent at the knee, her feet on the floor and her head lolled back over the other edge, exposing the tanned skin of her neck. But that’s not where Peg was feeding. Peg had her head buried between Blondie’s legs, eating her out as if she were starved.
Heather shifted in her chair. The orgy of sex and sucking was making her anxious. She wanted to join in. Her crotch was dripping wet and her nipples were rock hard. But the blood … that part made her nervous. She’d joined Catharine and Elizabeth back in Chicago, ready to start a new Sanguinarian lifestyle, but now that she’d been with them for a while she was beginning to wonder if this was the right thing to do. Catharine and Elizabeth ruled the group. Junie and Peg went by whatever orders they received. Heather had yet to be given any orders other than she was not allowed to sample any blood, nor was she allowed orgasm. The first rule didn’t bother her all that much. The second rule was going to be broken here really soon if they kept having such wild, naked sex in front of her.
Heather’s hand drifted from the arm of the chair, down her tummy, and onward to her crotch. She had to orgasm soon. The stress level was building to immense proportions.
With the first stroke of her fingers on her hot pussy, Catharine jerked away from the man on the couch, his dick coming out of her mouth with a pop.
“Stop!” Catharine pinned her with her eyes.
Heather froze. She felt a rush of cold enter her, sinking all the way to her bones. It only served to make her straining nipples pebble more.
Catharine’s lips were crimson with a thin wash of blood. She reached up and slowly drew her fingertips over her lips, wiping away the blood. Then she sucked her fingers clean.
Heather’s eyes caught the drops of blood that glistened on the tip of the man’s still hard cock. Realization struck her. Catharine had been feeding from his penis. Her gaze shot back to meet Catharine’s.
Catharine smiled sexily. “Elizabeth, you may finish him,” she said, her eyes not leaving Heather. She began to crawl slowly across the floor, her ample breasts swaying beneath her, toward Heather. “I think that it’s time we gave Heather a bit of a release.”
The other three vampires froze and looked at Heather, their eyes flashing. “Are we initiating her this night?” Elizabeth asked.
Heather trembled. Fear and arousal mingled in her veins. Catharine stopped in front of her and rose up on her knees. She placed both of her lukewarm hands on Heather’s thighs and began to stroke them, slowly moving up toward her center. “Yes,” she said, her voice a sultry whisper, “I think it’s time for her first session.”
Heather’s breath caught when Catharine’s long fingers parted the cleft of her pussy. She moved in closer. “Move down and lie back, Heather my darling. I think you need to experience what sex is really about.”
Heather began to shake with anticipation. She moved down until her ass was at the edge of the chair and spread her legs wide. Catharine moved in close and blew a cool breath over Heather’s swollen clit. Heather gasped. “Please,” she whimpered. She didn’t care who got her off, man or woman, she just needed to come.
The others left their playthings and surrounded Heather and Catharine. Elizabeth moved behind the chair and stroked Heather’s hair, gently urging her head backward, elongating Heather’s neck. Junie and Peg each took one side of her, lifting her arms and spreading them wide as if Heather was going to fly. Arms wide now, Junie and Peg moved closer, their hands caressing her breasts but not touching her wanting nipples. Heather moaned. “Please…”
“You want this?” Catharine asked, her fingers spreading Heather’s pussy lips wider.
“Oh God yes. I want,” Heather begged. She rocked her hips upward toward Catharine’s mouth.
“Then you shall be initiated,” Catharine said.
Heather jerked, her body arching, as four mouths came in contact with her heated body. Catharine latched onto her clit, suctioning it into her cool mouth as she slid three long fingers inside her sheath and began to piston them. Elizabeth caught her lips in a wanton kiss, long tongue bursting past Heather’s lips
as she stroked and tugged Heather’s hair, drawing her head back as far as possible. Junie and Peg each found a nipple and laved her breasts before beginning to suck, sending shivers through Heather’s whole body.
She quaked in the chair, the sounds of tongues, wet suction and moans filling the air around her. She wriggled, desperately trying to get closer to all of them at once, her body jerking, muscles twitching. Heather felt herself grow faint. Still she bucked against Catharine’s beautiful face, that long, experienced tongue wrapping itself around her clit and tugging, licking, sucking.
Elizabeth released Heather’s mouth from the kiss, letting her catch her breath. Then Elizabeth leaned down and offered Heather one of her breasts. Heather could only gasp for air, her heart pounding. “I’m going to…” she stuttered.
“Here my baby,” Elizabeth crooned, running the hard nipple of her own breast over Heather’s trembling bottom lip, “You know you want to.”
Heather gently swiped her tongue across Elizabeth’s ruched peak, then kissed it. A sizzling fire kindled between her legs as Catharine began to use wide, firm strokes of her tongue on Heather’s hot flesh. Heather’s eyes fell closed, her mouth open to release a sigh. So good … it was so good.
Her pussy clenched, getting ready for release. Heather buried her hands in Junie and Peg’s hair, pressing them against her as they suckle her breasts. Heather began to moan, her hips gyrating on their own. Elizabeth pressed her breast against Heather’s mouth.
Heather opened her mouth, accepting the prize she offered, groaning in her throat. She flicked Elizabeth’s nipple with her tongue.
Suddenly, there was a sharp stab of pain between her nether lips. She sucked in a breath, her eyes coming wide open.
The next thing she knew, she was riding a roller coaster of pleasure as the most powerful orgasm rocked her. She writhed in the chair, bucking against Catharine’s mouth as Catharine drank from her.
The other women moved away from her. Now there was only Catharine. “Oh g-g-god,” Heather said, grabbing Catharine by the hair and thrusting her hips up.
Catharine chuckled and quickened her pace. Her tongue moved in fast, light flicks, laving Heather’s clit until she could take it no more.
A scream burst from her throat as a fire raced through her. Sweat spread over her as she collapsed in the chair.
Catharine gave her ravaged pussy one last, lingering lick, then moved up Heather’s dewy body until she could look her eye to eye.
Heather panted, her body thrumming with more sweet pleasure than she imagined she could feel. She looked into Catharine’s hypnotic eyes, then at Catharine’s blood stained lips. “You drank from me,” Heather whispered. “You drank my blood.”
Catharine smiled. “Yes.” She stroked Heather’s cheek. “And it was very intoxicating.” She leaned forward and kissed Heather tenderly on the lips. Heather could taste her blood, mixed with her come, on Catharine’s lips.
Catharine leaned back. “That’s enough. For now.” She rose to stand. “You were satisfied, yes?”
Heather tried to speak but ended up only nodding.
“Good. Now I must finish feeding. I want you to go to bed.” She reached for Heather’s hand and helped her up from the chair. “You have much to learn. We’ve just begun. I think you’ll be ready to drink your first draught of life in a few days. Until then, you may come to me if you need,” Catharine brushed her hand across Heather’s right breast, “pleasure.”
Heather shivered under the woman’s touch but she was too spent to follow up on the immediate yearning she felt. Her legs weak, she let Catharine lead her to the bunk where she slept and collapsed on the thin mattress.
Within seconds, she was drowning in a dreamless sleep.
Chapter Five
Holt drove like a bat out of hell down the dirt road. He had never been so angry with himself in his life.
Sex was one thing but Ivy Green had touched his heart. And what had he done? Fucked her and then left her stranded in a motel room.
He could feel Rogue watching him as he sat in the front seat. Holt had made a rash decision when he had woken them up and told them they were leaving. It wasn’t good to be out in the hunting hours when you haven’t ferreted out the clutch you were looking for yet. They could be surprised by the vampires in the dark of the night. It wouldn’t be easy, but it could be done. Especially since Holt’s thoughts were now tied to Ivy Green and her dilemma. Holt shook his head and squeezed the steering wheel. How had Ivy’s sister gotten involved with two woman vampires? Maybe she liked women. Maybe she liked drinking blood.
Maybe she was already one of them.
Holt hoped for the best. Hoped that he would be in time to save Ivy’s sister, Heather. If not … well, it wouldn’t be pretty.
He would do the best he could to save the girl but without knowing exactly what he was walking into, the outcome was uncertain.
“What’d you leave the girl back there for? You two have a lover’s spat?” Rogue asked, turning in the seat to face Holt. “Moving on in the dark doesn’t seem like a good idea to me.”
Holt let out a long breath. “It doesn’t matter whether you think it’s a good idea or not. It’s something that I had to do.”
Rogue clucked. “I see now … trouble in paradise. Okay, so we’re moving around in prime vamp time. We going all the way to the coast?”
“Yes.” Holt rolled down his window and let in the damp night air. “There’s a few things that I found out about the situation. On the boat, there are supposedly five females and one male. One female and the male are human. But don’t take anything for granted. The two humans may have already been turned.”
Colin spoke from the backseat. “How do you know this? Where did you get your information?”
“Yeah, who told you?” Rogue added.
“I just heard it.” Holt shrugged his shoulders and slowed the car. They were coming into a town on the coast. He passed a sign. ‘Welcome to Crystal View, the prettiest port on Lake Michigan’. This was the last location that they had heard Bloody Hell was moored.
Holt hoped that the boat hadn’t moved on.
“Is your source reliable?” Colin asked, finally sitting up in the backseat.
“As reliable as any,” Holt said, turning a corner and driving slowly along the main street of the little town. It was six in the morning. The streetlights cast the sidewalks in a yellow glow. Small shops lined each side of the street, hawking T-shirts, fudge and toy boats in their big, spotless windows. Holt could smell the scent of the water. They were close.
“So what do we do if we encounter the ones that aren’t turned? Should we consider them the enemy or what?” Rogue asked.
Holt shook his head. “We’ve been through this before. You know the drill. Everyone is the enemy until daylight proves different.”
“All right,” Rogue said. “All enemies. So, anything else you hear about this clutch?”
Holt turned another corner. The docks were in sight. He could see the masts of sailboats, dark charcoal lines on the dawning sky. The streetlights began to wink out.
Dawn. Safe time.
“The only thing I heard is that the male captains the boat. He’s probably their keeper. Watch out for him. He’ll do anything to protect the vampires.”
Holt drove slowly along the docks, his eyes gazing out over the water. The Lincoln’s engine growled low in its throat, as if in warning of their arrival.
The day was dawning in the sky, the sun rising in the east, painting the clouds over the lake.
They glowed red in the light of the morning.

Ivy reached across the bed.
She shot straight up.
Holt was gone.
Both fists came down on the bed. “Damn you!” The son of a bitch took off on her.
Ivy hissed through her teeth, her eyes scanning the room. Maybe he was down in the other room, talking to Rogue and Colin, she thought. Then she looked on the dresser. Nope. His du
ffel bag was gone.
“Argh!” Ivy swung her legs over the side of the bed and shot off the edge. Grabbing clean clothes out of her pack, Ivy threw them on, not caring if they matched. She snatched all of her things and stuffed them in where ever they fit, took a look around and left the room, closing the door behind her.
Stomping up the walk toward the office, Ivy was literally fuming. If Holt Raven thought he could just leave her in B. F. Egypt, he had another thing coming. Just wait until she found him. And she would. As soon as she took care of Heather.
Then there was nowhere that Holt Raven could hide.
It wasn’t as if he could blend in. Just thinking of his massive, buff body and that stern dangerous face made Ivy prickle with need.
She shook it off and pushed through the office door.
The woman who had been in the robe and curlers last night now looked a little more presentable. She stood behind the counter, dressed in a nice pink dress, her hair coifed in a helmet of curls that Ivy knew wouldn’t move in a 70-mph wind. You could smell the hairspray as soon as you opened the office door.
“Checking out?” the woman asked, pulling a book toward her on the countertop.
“Yes.” Ivy dropped her pack on the floor and dug inside for her wallet. She found it without too much trouble and pulled out her VISA.
“Oh, no dear,” the woman said, checking off a checkmark beside the room number that Ivy and Holt had shared, “Your husband paid for the room. He didn’t tell you?”
Ivy smiled tightly. “I’ve got a little problem. I need to call a wrecker.”
The woman’s penciled-on eyebrows drew down in a frown. “I heard your car start up last night and thought you had left. Something happen to it?”
Ivy placed her hand flat on the countertop palm down to keep herself from slamming it down. “My husband has stranded me here. I have a car a few miles down the road … I was following him by the way … and it’s in the ditch. I need someone to pull it out.”
“Won’t your husband come back?”
A short laugh escaped Ivy. “I very much doubt it.”
“I see.” The woman pulled a phone book from under the counter. She laid it on top and pushed the phone toward Ivy. “If you look in the Yellow Pages, you’ll find Jake’s garage. He’s the cheapest.”
